Great news for Ashlee!

She has been chosen as one of Teen People Magazine's Artists of the Year for 2004! The issue, with Ashlee on the cover, will be out on November 5th.

Here's the official message I received from Teen People magazine:

Ashlee Simpson's music helped define 2004 with radio airplay, videos and more. Now, Teen People is recognizing her as one of the Artists of the Year!

Teen People's Artists of the Year special is part of its December/January issue and hits stands Nov. 5. Inside, you and your readers will want to check out a special tribute to Ashlee, written by celebrity fan Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory.

Of course, Teen People has new photos of Ashlee to go along with the piece.

Don't forget to check out Teen People on Nov. 5!

"I had just finished '7th Heaven,' and I'd had the same haircut forever for the show, so the day it finished, I took a Clairol bottle and just kind of poured it all over my head," she said. "I had bottle-blonde hair, so I hoped it didn't turn green. And it didn't! And now I love it. I thought my parents were going to freak out, so I called my mom, and I was like, 'I did something,' and she was like, 'Did you get a tattoo?' And I was like, 'Maybe!' I thought they were going to hate it, but they love it, and now I'm keeping it."
