Only a week after announcing her engagement to Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson is the victim of pregnancy rumors. Sources allege that the 23-year-old's pregnancy explains her sudden engagement to the 'Fall Out Boy' rocker, 28.

"We are thrilled to confirm their engagement and congratulate this happy couple. Beyond that there is nothing to say," says a spokesperson for the couple.

Meanwhile, Ashlee's older sister Jessica Simpson has publically given her approval of the engagement. "Pete is an incredible soul. They naturally bring out the best in each other. I couldn't be happier," the singer and actress said.

As far as I'm concerned all children are a gift from God and I hope, if she is actually pregnant, that everything goes ok with the pregnancy and I wish both Ashlee and Pete good luck and may God Bless their entire family.

But what truly sucks about this for Ashlee's fans is that, if she is pregnant, she will probably NOT be touring to support her new CD. I hope that doesn't sound selfish but I've seen Ashlee three times live and I was really looking forward to her upcoming tour.
