I think Ashlee will be a great judge since she just got through doing the musical Chicago in London (to rave reviews). Her role required Ashlee to dance in most of her scenes.

This week the TV series 'DanceLife' premieres on MTV.

The show is about six dancers who attempt to get a gig in concerts, music videos and commercials. To win the contest, they have to audition for Ashlee Simpson, the Pussycat Dolls, Mary J. Blige, Omarion and Nelly Furtado.

One of the contestants on the show is a former Pussycat Doll called Staci.

The first episode of 'DanceLife' airs tonight on MTV at 10.30pm ET/PT
