US Magazine:

Is Ashlee Simpson Broadway-bound? The singer, 21, has been offered the role of murderous Roxie Hart in the Broadway and London casts of the musical Chicago, a Simpson source confirms. "She will probably choose London," says the source, who adds that she would start in October. (Earlier this year, Rita Wilson played the role in New York.) Though Simpson has little experience in musical theater, she has been a backup dancer on her sis Jessica's tour, and showed off her acting chops for two years with a role on 7th Heaven. A Chicago rep tells Us, "There is no confirmation at this time."

A source close to Simpson tells American publication Us Weekly, "She will probably choose London." Earlier this year (06), RITA WILSON stepped into the role in New York. Although Simpson has little experience in musical theatre, she has been a back-up dancer on her sister JESSICA's tour and had a role on US family drama 7TH HEAVEN. The PIECES OF ME singer has said she wants to focus on her acting career.

Man, this "sexy" has turned into ugly shit. I saw this picture earlier this week and there she was with the new nose and those plump lips, I just thought - wtf? She really looked ugly. I really really don't like her new look.   - Sweetheart then "Sexy" now.  I hope she will be influenced by Christina Aguilera instead, rofl move all the piercings.

i don't think broadway is for ashlee Written by ashleetotallyrocks on 2006-08-30 20:12:46 This is just my opinion but honestly, I don't think Ashlee belongs on broadway. I'm a fan and everything but i don't think she has the voice for Roxie Hart. Ashlee's got great stage prescence and she's really pretty but i'm not too sure if broadway is the way for her to go...but hey you never know!
