 Is Jessica Simpson upset with her sister Ashlee Simpson's new
video 'Shadow', featuring Ashlee wearing a blonde wig portraying a
ditzy Jessica? "Jessica was very upset when she finally saw the final
cut and asked for the video to be shut off," a close friend told
Groovevolt.com. A source at Sony added, "It's sickening that she uses
her sister when she wants publicity. She doesn't want to be in the
shadow but being in the shadow is what makes her a star."In Ashlee Simpson's new video for her latest single "Shadow," the
singer sports a blonde wig and pretends to be sister Jessica Simpson
while acting ditzy. "Jessica was very upset when she finally saw the
final cut and asked for the video to be shut off," says a close friend.
Ashlee's new single is based on her growing pains with her sister and
parents. According to a label employee at Sony, "It's sickening that
she uses her sister when she wants publicity." She adds, "She doesn't
want to be in the shadow but being in the shadow is what makes her a
star." Following the success of "Pieces of Me," many feel that this one
song will bite the dust.

Why doesnt any 1 write comments?? I didnt know the blond Ashlee represented Jessica......I thought it represented the Ashlee living in the shadow of Jessica's dream  | omg ..................maybe it is

like i just said you couldnt be more wrong, in the vid. she is portraying herself and how she used to be content with being in the shadow or limelight of her older sister and finally one day she snapped and desided she would make something of herself and shine. its a portrail of her coming out. You probably didnt know but ashlee used to be blonde and she died it brown. Jessica was very proud of her sister when she first heard "shadow" and it was what personally made me go out and buy the cd. Jessica and Ashlee are very close and Ashlee would not do that to her sister. Like i said you could not be at all any more wrong. | I agree!!

I agree that Ashlee was not mimicing Jessica! Ashlee used to be blonde and ditzy... and it is showing that she wanted to change so she wouldnt be just like her sister jessica! I do not agree w/ what was said about that! And i do not think that Jessica would get upset, b/c when she performed it live infront of jessica on the show...jess. loved it...so yall r wrong!! I dont think Ashlee went back blonde because she wanted to be like Jessica i just think she missed her blonde look because i mean she had black hair for like a year!! I have blonde hair myself and over summer i made it black to look like Ashlee and after 2 months i couldnt wait to get my natural blonde look back on!! Ya'll I love Ashlee Simpson to death she's my favorite singer/actress ever in history! I totally think Ryan and Ashlee made the best couple but i just dont think Ashlee and Ian Erix make a good couple now I dont know if its true that their going out but i just dont think they should go out but if its true that Ashlee loves him then i dont mind them going out because i luv Ashlee and if she loves him then i'm happy for her i just loved her and Ryan!  | Written by ash4life on 2005-09-20 01:16:56
